The Death of Sin

The Death of Sin

It is unfortunate that what we are now seeing in our society worldwide is the death of sin. When we give grades to various sins and base our morality on public opinion our worldview will continue to evolve. This is what we are seeing in the church.

Many Christians today do not have a biblical worldview.  Too many Christian leaders including Pastors today lack the foundation in the Word of God and are doctrinally ignorant. Their world view has been molded and shaped by the media and society as a whole.  Too often pastors have preached one set of morals from the pulpit but voted an entirely different ideology at the polls.  The enemy has done as outstanding job of changing the very paradigms of our thought process.

Contrary to what many may say, Jesus did deal with sin especially when you consider the woman that was caught in adultery.  He did not condemn her but he lifted her up and stated to go and sin no more. We no longer tolerate homosexually, we celebrate it.  Men and women were created for a purpose.  Marriage is not a civil, governmental institution; it is a Holy one where the presence of God actually performs the union.  No sin is greater than the other for all unrighteousness is sin.

I do not endorse the hyper grace movement that merely cites what Jesus taught, we have to consider the entire Word of God. We cannot disregard the Old Testament since this is the New Testament concealed.  All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. In essence the more we degrade sin the less need there will be for a savior.

As the media and culture continue their onslaught against the family and the church we have to remember the true foundation of our faith is love. Regardless of how people may refer to you as being a bully or for using hate speech for preaching the gospel, remember what Christ say, with love and kindness have I drawn thee.  Let brotherly love continue.
